As part of my work on Kong's Plugin Hub, I led a full redesign of both the home page and plugin detail pages, with a strong focus on improving discoverability and activation rates. The goal was to provide developers with a clearer, more informative browsing experience, making it easy to understand what each plugin does, which versions of Konnect it supports, and who maintains it.
To support scalability, I designed a modular template that accommodated all 92 plugins, ensuring consistency while allowing flexibility for future additions. Additionally, we introduced the "Try in Konnect" button, streamlining the activation process by either prompting existing users to test the plugin or guiding new users through an onboarding flow. These efforts contributed to a steady increase in plugin activations, making it easier for developers to integrate Kong's ecosystem into their workflows.
